Sunday Morning Music

I think this morning was the best morning I've ever had. First off I had to play piano for Church. Wicked awesome if you ask me. Second, its my brothers first time back since he was in Vancouver for a couple of weeks. So he didn't know ANYTHING about the Christmas play at our Church. WELL. We all voted Scott should sing a special solo in the song "We Three Kings". During practise Scott was surprised by this news and was obviously trying to get out of singing a solo in front of the whole Sunday School. Unfortunately for him and fortunately for me, he failed at that. And they made me play piano for him. As the wonderful sister I am, I played EXTRA quiet so we could all hear his LOVELY singing voice. AHHAHAAHAHHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH. A beautiful solo he sang indeed. I think it all topped off with him being told HOW to sing by another soloist who really couldn't sing any better. I had a good laugh from all this. Funny, Scott's the better pianist and I'm the better singer. Oh how the tables have turned. Ha Ha Ha!

Patience is key.

I'm finally starting to understand why God put me in a position to work at the coffee shop I'm working at currently.

Everything makes sense now.

Revelation Song

In the last year or so, I learned this song at a Worship service I attend that happens once a month. It's this intense worship service that gives you time to just forget and block out everything around you and focus on God and to praise him. Personally, I learn powerful lessons that help me get through each week. And I'm not saying I only learn these lessons on that one Sunday, I learn a bunch of stuff anytime I look to God or just simply read or pray. God's powerful. Listen to this song. Learn it. Sing it out to God. I feel God's presence greatly when I sing this song.

Worthy is the,
Lamb who was slain
Holy, Holy, is He
Sing a new song, to Him who sits on
Heaven's Mercy Seat
[Repeat 2x]

(Chorus)
Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Who was, and is, and is to come
With all creation I sing:
Praise to the King of Kings!
You are my everything,
And I will adore You…!
Yeah!

Clothed in rainbows, of living color
Flashes of lightning, rolls of thunder
Blessing and honor, strength and
Glory and power be
To You the Only Wise King,
Yeah

(Chorus)
Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Who was, and is, and is to come, yeah
With all creation I sing:
Praise to the King of Kings!
You are my everything,
And – I - will - adore You!
Yeah!

Filled with wonder,
Awestruck wonder
At the mention of Your Name
Jesus, Your Name is Power
Breath, and Living Water
Such a marvelous mystery
Yeah...

(Chorus)
Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Who was, and is, and is to come, yeah
With all creation I sing:
Praise to the King of Kings!
You are my everything,
And – I - will - adore You!

Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Who was, and is, and is to come,
With all creation I sing:
Praise to the King of Kings!
You are my everything,
And – I - will - adore YOU…

(Chorus) (Repeat at a cappella)

Come up lift up His Name
To the King of Kings…
We will adore YOU Lord…
King of heaven and earth
King Jesus, King Jesus
Aleluya, aleluya, aleluya!
Majesty, awestruck Honor
And Power and Strength and Dominion
To You Lord,
To the King, to King
To the King of Glory

Awkward blog?

Hey! WHATS UP?
Yo I got something on my mind. And I don't know if I would state this blog as awkward or funny. I suppose its something you would have to decide for yourself. So right at this moment I turned up my tunes and Owl City is playing. I'm listening to the song Fireflies, and its awesomesauce. Anyway. This having nothing to do with my blog, maybe you might be a stalker and want to know what Im listening to because your looking through my window and you see my head banging and your really creeped out by that. I know I would be if I was you. I were you? I was you. Dang. I suck majorly at proper English. Oh well. Who really cares.

Lets get to the point of my blog.
Ever had awkward moments? But nobody knows it but you? Like this is just an example, and its not my own personal experience: But have you ever farted in the middle of a mall or something? And you start laughing? OR you go to the washroom and there's NO toilet paper. HAHAHA And your reaction is "Oh crap. What do I do now??" Hahaha no pun intended in that one. OR your at a restrauant and they're cooking with onions and your eyes start watering? Hahaha sucker! You look like you're crying, and you feel ridiculous. Well I had the funniest awkward moment today. I went to Starbucks, and bought a Strawberry Banana smoothie. It was delicious! SOOOOOOOO GOOD. Then, I hopped on a bus and went home. And as I was walking to my house I got the weirdest sounding hickups. They were so loud and it sounded like I was dying. Well. There was all these construction workers working on a house across the street, and I was hiccupping uncontrollobly, and they were all starring at me like I was dying. They literally all stopped and watched me as I went into my house looking like a complete idiot.

DON'T DRINK THE STRAWBERRY BANANA SMOOTHIE UNLESS YOU'RE PREPARED TO LOOK AND SOUND LIKE YOU'RE DYING OF HICCUPS.

BLAST BACK TO THE PAST- Original? I think not! HA!

Today is special. Actually no. Not really. It's like every other day.

Ever heard that stupid line used over and over and over. Lets go through some shall we?

-There's no I in team. But there is in win!
-If you can't stand the heat, then get out of the kitchen!
-It's no use crying over split milk.
-Think outside the box! (Oh man I hate that one SOOOOO much)
-You're as clear as mud.
-As hot as hell.
-Just staying one day ahead of yesterday
-A picture can tell a thousand words.

I love going through old pictures. Why? Because it makes me feel super unconfortable. Espically if there is other people in the room. The kind of uncomfortable you laugh at awkwardly. One time when I was little, I was stupid enough to make a hula hula skirt and bra thing out of white paper. I was practically naked in this picture except for the random pieces of white paper taped over THOSE areas. Hahahaha. Well, my Mom kept that picture all these years and is planning on revealing it to everyone when I get married. Lets hope God keeps me single for life. Or else IM DOOMED. Anyways, Im not going to post that particular picture on my blog because my life would be ruined forever. However I would like to share other pictures that sit on my computer all day and rot. Ha! Funnnnn ayyyy. That was a good word phrase thing.

Anyway I found this picture today...........

HAHAHAHAHA. Yeah this one. This particular picture was taken about 3 years ago in December. The person beside me happens to be my sister. AND I WOULD LIKE TO ALSO POINT OUT WE LOOK ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ALIKE. I remember that after we took that picture I burned my tounge on hot chocolate, and my sister, Deanna, went running to the kitchen (because we were at camp) and came back with icecubes. It was one of the many sweetest things she ever did. Heh. A kodak moment! LOL.

My favorite song of all time.

Since the first day I heard this song I literally teared up. It's always been so captivating to me. The instant the lyrics started being sung I felt every single word grab my heart. This song relates to an event in my life that happened not too long ago. Anyway. Read the lyrics. Every show I sing at I ALWAYS sing this song.

"Beautiful Mess" -Jason Mraz

You've got the best of both worlds
You're the kind of girl who can take down a man,
And lift him back up again
You are strong but you're needy,
Humble but you're greedy
And based on your body language,
And shoddy cursive I've been reading
Your style is quite selective,
though your mind is rather reckless
Well I guess it just suggests
that this is just what happiness is

Hey, what a beautiful mess this is
It's like picking up trash in dresses

Well it kind of hurts when the kind of words you write
Kind of turn themselves into knives
And don't mind my nerve you could call it fiction
But I like being submerged in your contradictions dear
'Cause here we are, here we are

Although you were biased I love your advice
Your comebacks they're quick
And probably have to do with your insecurities
There's no shame in being crazy,
Depending on how you take these
Words I'm paraphrasing this relationship we're staging

And what a beautiful mess, yes it is
It's like picking up trash in dresses

Well it kind of hurts when the kind of words you say
Kind of turn themselves into blades
And the kind and courteous is a life I've heard
But it's nice to say that we played in the dirt
Cause here, here we are, Here we are
Here we are [x7]

We're still here
What a beautiful mess, this is
It's like taking a guess when the only answer is "Yes"

Through, timeless words and priceless pictures We'll fly like birds not of this earth

And tides they turn and hearts disfigure
But that's no concern when we're wounded together

And we, tore our dresses and stained our shirts
But its nice today. Oh the way it was so worth it.

If I Had A Superpower...

...I would OBVIOUSLY be awesome.

If I had a superpower it would be to fly. I would chose my job as the mail WOman. Everybody would have their flyer's and mail delivered to their homes by yours truly. UNLESS you hated me or something. (JERRRRRRK) HAHA.

I would also fly all over the world and see the sights. I would fly tons of food to countries that suffer from starvation. I wouldn't need a dog or cat as a pet. I would have pet birds. And I would be able to chill with them up in the sky. I would also probably help put out forest fires and fires in places like Australia.

Funny thing just came to mind.
I CAN become a mail WOman.
I CAN fly all over the world and see the sights.
I CAN ship tons of food to countries that suffer from starvation.
I COULD have a dog, cat, or bird. (I just choose not to have one, because I have allergies and I don't like cleaning up dog crap)
I CAN help out with forest fires and fires in places like Australia.

It's weird. Some people only believe it takes a miracle to have change.

I believe we are the change. And I believe one person can make a HUGE difference in the world.

Here's an example. Abraham was one man. ONE MAN. You should go read Abraham's story from the Bible. Maybe it will inspire you to make a change.

Matthew 13:23 (New International Version)
But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."

But I don't need a superpower. I have God. =)
